If a therapist is at capacity on their caseload, "not accepting referrals" will be listed beside their name.

Holly Smee, MA, RCC ~ Not accepting referrals

Holly is the Founder and Clinical Director of HollyTree Wellness Centre. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist. Her passions include animals, animal-assisted psychotherapy, plants, music, art and creating pretty things. She is also passionate about spirituality and transpersonal psychology and her work draws heavily from it. Most of Holly's time goes to managing the clinic, writing and marketing, supervising Master's Students on practicum, and maintaining continuity of care for an established caseload from the past; as a result she is not available for appointments with  new individuals and sends all referrals to the practitioners listed below. Dawn Hertz, MA, RCC ~ Virtual and In-person Offerings starting in July.

Dawn Hertz obtained a Master of Arts in Counselling, with a prior background in Human Kinetics. She is passionate about psychology, various athletic hobbies that she enjoys in nature, and her love of words is expressed in reading and creative writing. She is a proud mother to two adult children that she raised on her own. Dawn's clinical work takes a focus on finding authenticity and integrity in a diverse world. Clinically, she has a keen interest in highly sensitive souls, as well as finding the magic that lies in you, waiting to be expressed beyond the layers of conditioning given to you by the world. Her trainings include: CBT, DBT, and Somatic Relational Therapy, with a Process and Depths Work oriented approach. Erica Spink, PhD, RCC ~ In-person offerings until maternity leave starts October, 2023

Erica holds two Master's Degrees and also obtained a PhD from Queen's University in Sociology with a focus on emotions, trauma, and community health.  Before pursuing her Doctorate she obtained a diploma from Grant MacEwan University as a Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP) and is certified in Reflexology, Reiki, Touch for Health, and Neuro Linguistic Programming. She is also a certified birth doula and somatic relational therapist. Erica loves to work with Youth, Adults and Seniors, LGBTQ2S+ and with anyone struggling through life changes and wellness/identity/relational challenges.  She is passionate about meditation and mindfulness, as well as alternative healing modalities. Erin Rodier, MA, RCC ~ Not accepting referrals

Erin has over 10 years of experience and enjoys working with all ages. She is trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as CBT, Sensory integration, Mindfulness & Vagus Nerve Regulation, Nature Therapy, Synergetic Play Therapy, Social Emotional Skill Training and Expressive therapies. Erin has extensive experience working with  individuals who experience neurodivergence, such as ADHD, ASD and Developmental Disabilities. Her approach involves sensory integration & strength based practices that target anxiety reduction, social communication & overall wellness through an affirming lens. As a queer therapist, Erin works within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, by supporting queer identifying, transgender identifying and gender questioning individuals, children/youth, couples, and families. Francesca Ter Poorten, MA, RCC ~ Virtual and In-person Offerings

Francesca is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who obtained a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology. She has also been a yoga teacher and a life coach for over 25 years and is an avid animal and outdoors enthusiast. Francesca holds additional trainings in EMDR, binge-eating, addictions, DBT, and is a Certified Anger Management Specialist.  Additionally, she is trained in couples counselling and offers support for all types of relationship concerns, ranging from extramarital affairs to couples needing reconnection.  Francesca offers virtual appointments by phone/zoom six days a week and has select in-person dates at Hollytree Wellness Centre as needed, typically 1-2 times per month. Jessica Rita Smith, MA, BSW, CCC ~ Virtual and In-person Offerings

Jessica has a Masters in Counselling Psychology, and is a registered Canadian Clinical Counsellor (CCC), specializing in couple’s counselling for parents who want to reconnect and reinvigorate their relationship to create a solid and stable home for their family. Jessica also offers individual EMDR therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Jessica is passionate about the exploration of the subconscious to provide clients with sustainable change, and has advanced trainings in eco-psychology, dreamwork, and clinical hypnosis. Jessica will be offering EMDR intensives starting September, for those who want to explore efficient, and effective therapy treatment in a condensed time frame. Kathie Robertson, MA, RCC ~ Virtual and In-person offerings

Kathie has a Masters in Counselling Psychology and is registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She takes a client-centered approach to counselling and works with a variety of treatment modalities, like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based, Attachment-Based for both teens and couples and EMDR. Kathie has extensive experience working with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, chronic health/pain related issues, stress-related issues, addictions, anger management, trauma, family and couples/relationship/marital issues. Katie Strong, MA, RCC ~ Virtual and In-person offerings

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), Katie adheres to the best-practice standards rooted in evidence-based research. Relying on current methods of practice such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and self-compassion and acceptance, Katie works with each client to create a plan to address their specific needs to create lasting change that is aligned with their core values and therapeutic goals. Kristin Brattebo, MA, RCC~ Not accepting referrals

Kristin holds a Master Of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC. She is trained in EMDR, with advanced training in pre-birth and birth trauma. Kristin has over fifteen years of experience working with families and individuals experiencing mental health, abuse, addiction, trauma, PTSD, parenting challenges, divorce, blended families, postpartum challenges and grief/loss. She is also passionate about supporting individuals experiencing vicarious trauma, burnout and compassion fatigue. As a queer therapist, Kristin also works within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, specifically working with couples, caregivers, non-binary, transgender and gender queer children and youth. Matthew Wilson-Birks, MA, RCC ~ Virtual and In-person Offerings

Matthew is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and holds a master of arts in counselling psychology. He works primarily from an EMDR and  cognitive-behavioural foundation of therapy (CBT) that draws upon wisdom traditions like Stoicism and mind-body practices including breathwork, hypnosis, and mindfulness. Melanie Maure, MA, RCC ~ Virtual and In-person Offerings

Melanie is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with a Masters in Counselling Psychology. She is also a Gateless Writing Coach who encourages the use of the written word to heal and grow. She is passionate about helping adults move through any difficulties that may be creating a sense of stuckness in the mental, spiritual, emotional and physical bodies. She offers 20 years of education and expertise in the fields of injury and trauma recovery, stress reduction, and life coaching.
